Hi Everyone! My name is Natasha and I am the owner of this little corner of the internet – Epic Mommy Adventures!
I am a single mom, full-time working professional, MBA graduate…and recovering work addict. I am a dreamer and a realist, creative but logical, inspired and focus…and you’ll learn all about my random thoughts by joining me here on EMA.
How EMA Got Started
Being a single mom is the single most challenging, frustrating, fulfilling, and amazing experience in my life thus far. I’m sure every parent understands this contradiction. Being a single mom doesn’t change that sentiment at all – it only enhances the experiences even more so.
This wasn’t always the case though. Back in 2012, it was just challenging. I was exhausted – physically and emotionally – by all of the daily tasks it took to be a single mom. I worried about every little detail – raising my son the right way, the impact of being a single parent would have on his future, how I would do it all on my own, how I would survive to the next day with my sanity intact.
I needed reassurance that I wasn’t alone, and I started what is now known as Epic Mommy Adventures after the prodding of a good friend. She suggested that I document the journey of being a single mom in the hopes that I would be able to connect with other single parents and share in this experience together.
I would never imagine that Epic Mommy Adventures would be where it is today – a place to connect with other single parents, an advice column with weekly tips for single parent, connecting with single parent bloggers overall, and just a place where I can find peace and joy. The daily emails from other single parents seeking advice, someone to talk to that can relate to them, sharing how they enjoy my blog – it inspires me to keep going!
My Life and Kids
I have the greatest joy to be the mother of the greatest and most loving kid in the world…I know that people say this about their kid but isn’t it true for all of us parents (at least until they turn 16 right?!)? I love everything about being a mom, all the good times and even the bad times. I look forward to seeing him grow and prosper, and witness his future successes.
I am also a “mama” to 2 cockatiels…they are spoiled and moody and I love them both to pieces!
